Axis Robotics launches $AXIS token on Base to crowdsource robot training data

The platform has collected between 5.5 and 7 million robot trajectories from over 200,000 contributors using a train-to-earn model built on Coinbase's L2. Teaching a robot to pick up a coffee mug is harder than it sounds. The robot needs millions of examples of human movement, recorded across different hands, grips, speeds, and angles. Axis Robotics thinks it has found a way to crowdsource that problem, and on October 10, 2026, it launched the $AXIS utility token on Base to make the incentive layer official.
