The Palo Alto startup says its AxiomProver system produced the first complete computer-checked version of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups Mathematicians spent decades building one of the largest proofs in history. A swarm of AI agents just checked the whole thing in 24 days. Axiom Math, an AI startup based in Palo Alto, announced on October 26, 2026 that its AxiomProver system completed the first full computer-checked formalization of the Classification of Finite Simple Groups , a result so sprawling it earned the nickname the “Enormous Theorem.” The original proof runs to approximately 15,000 pages.
