AWS Commits $1 Billion to Embed Engineers With Customers

Amazon Web Services is committing $1 billion to engineers who build AI systems inside customer operations, putting the focus on whether deployment teams can turn model spending into measurable business gains. AWS announced the investment in its Forward Deployed Engineering organization on June 30. The group plans to embed thousands of engineers with customers, working alongside business, engineering and security teams to connect AI models with company data and existing systems.
