Argentina’s capital-markets regulator has authorized open-end funds to invest up to 25% of their net assets in ETF units, expanding the investment options available under the country’s rules. CNV Resolution 1177 covers Fondos Comunes de Inversión Abiertos (FCIA), Argentina’s open-end investment funds. The authorization adds ETF units to the investment options available to FCIA funds. CNV President Roberto E. Silva described the measure as part of an effort to modernize Argentina’s capital markets.
