Apple Lens Supplier 3008 Posts 121.98 Nine-Month EPS as Margin Falls

The Apple lens supplier listed as 3008 posted nine-month earnings per share of 121.98, up from 109.06 a year earlier, while lower gross margin put pressure on its core profitability. Revenue increased 2.12%, and net income attributable to the parent company rose 9.76%. Gross margin fell to 46.90% from 51.39%. The company linked the margin decline to product-mix changes and green-power costs at a recent investor conference. Operating profit was 15.70 billion, compared with pretax profit of 19.48 billion. Investors will watch fourth-quarter orders for Apple’s new devices and whether new products can help improve margins.
