Anthropic’s Third-Quarter Revenue Reaches $16.8 Billion Ahead of Planned IPO

Anthropic could make its prospectus public as soon as Monday, Oct. 26, updating its IPO timeline ahead of a planned mid-November listing as the AI company reports $16.8 billion in third-quarter revenue. Revenue rose about 45% from the second quarter, compared with growth above 140% in the prior quarter. Anthropic said it reached profitability on an adjusted basis in the third quarter. The company confidentially submitted documents to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in June. Future commitments for cloud computing, chips and data centers exceed $600 billion, with the spending expected to unfold over several years.
