Anthropic , the company behind the Claude AI model family, reported a significant increase in revenue, reaching $16.3 billion in the first half of 2026, compared to $1.1 billion in the same period the previous year. This dramatic growth comes as the company prepares for a potential initial public offering (IPO) at a valuation that could reach $2 trillion, though some investors are discussing a figure closer to $1.5 trillion. Despite the revenue surge, Anthropic also disclosed a substantial net loss of $80.7 billion, largely due to $72 billion in accounting charges and nearly $9 billion in computing costs.
