Anthropic reveals $131.7 billion cash pile in IPO filing

The AI developer's S-1 shows more cash and short-term investments than nearly any US company, alongside huge compute commitments Anthropic is sitting on more cash than almost every company in America. Its IPO paperwork puts the figure at $131.7 billion in cash, cash equivalents and short-term investments as of June 30. That puts the AI lab behind only two US companies, Berkshire Hathaway and Alphabet , based on data compiled by CNBC and S&P Capital IQ. The numbers come from Anthropic PBC’s S-1 registration statement, filed with the SEC on October 26, 2026.
