Anthropic Reports 1,300% Revenue Growth as Compute Costs Rise

Anthropic reported a 1,300% year-over-year increase in first-half revenue as its compute and infrastructure expenses also climbed, putting figures on both the company’s growth and the cost of serving demand for AI services. Revenue reached $16.286 billion for the six months ended June 30, 2026, compared with $1.163 billion in the same period a year earlier. Compute and infrastructure expenses rose 283% to $8.945 billion. Anthropic filed a preliminary prospectus on Oct. 26. No third-quarter revenue figure was included. Anthropic also cautioned that its recent growth rate may not continue.
