Anthropic details early drug-development work using Claude

Anthropic said it has expanded its life-sciences work across six outside drug-development partnerships and internal programs, offering early evidence of how Claude is being used in preclinical research, manufacturing review and trial planning. The Oct. 27, 2026 update describes early-stage results rather than clinical proof, and says the work is intended to scale further. In the company’s account, its life sciences team has worked over the past several months with BigHat Biosciences, Bristol Myers Squibb, Divergence Labs, Enveda, Generate Biomedicines and The Column Group, while also starting drug-discovery programs of its own, including efforts focused on rare childhood muscular dystrophies.
