Anthropic plans to purchase $30 billion of Microsoft Azure compute capacity and contract up to one gigawatt of additional capacity, expanding the infrastructure available for its Claude artificial intelligence models and enterprise services. The arrangement, announced Nov. 18, 2025, is initially planned to use NVIDIA Grace Blackwell and Vera Rubin systems. The $30 billion figure refers to planned Azure compute purchases; the announcements do not describe it as a direct investment in Microsoft or as revenue already recognized. NVIDIA committed up to $10 billion to invest in Anthropic, while Microsoft committed up to $5 billion.
