Anthropic Adds Claude Desktop Tool to Review and Clear Local Storage

Anthropic has added a local storage tool to Claude’s desktop app, giving users a way to see how much disk space the app uses and clear inactive work. The tool covers Cowork tasks, Code sessions and unused worktrees. Users can open it by entering /storage in the Cowork or Code tabs, or by going to Settings > Storage. The display separates usage across Cowork tasks, Code sessions, caches and the app’s core runtime. Users cannot remove the runtime.
