Anduril and Qualcomm plan to begin taking orders in 2027 for BlueChip’s first product, a rugged laptop designed and assembled in the U.S. for government, defense, first-responder and public-safety customers. The companies announced the computer line Tuesday, Oct. 27, and said functional prototypes are ready. The laptop is an initial product in the line, while the companies’ longer-term domestic manufacturing plans extend to its supply chain. More than 90% of the prototypes’ component procurement cost comes from suppliers in the United States and allied countries.
