Amazon Web Services (AWS) projected about $5 billion in Nvidia GB300 server rack deliveries for August 2026, underscoring the scale of its AI expansion as Amazon’s infrastructure spending squeezed free cash flow. The August plan called for roughly $3 billion in additional rack deliveries each month afterward. Some AWS sites had space for the equipment but lacked enough power to run it, leaving finished racks in warehouses before deployment. Amazon said staging hardware near deployment sites is routine and disputed the broader suggestion that it had no path to install the racks.
