AI Agent Companies Turn to Human Workers for Calls and Complex Tasks

Personal AI assistants from Dazzle AI, Duckbill and Wajo AI can involve human workers when a task calls for a phone conversation, judgment or follow-through beyond what software handles alone. The companies describe different ways people enter the process, from resolving a task mix-up to making calls or handling work that needs a personal touch. Dazzle AI CEO Marissa Mayer said the company sends some tasks to human contractors. In one case, an assistant confused window glass with tabletop glass while helping with a home project, and a person resolved the mix-up.
