40x Bitcoin Short Nears Liquidation at $7.88 Million on Hyperliquid

A 40x cross-margin Bitcoin (BTC) short position valued at about $7.88 million was nearing liquidation on Hyperliquid, with the trader facing a loss of about $31,000. The position covered 94 BTC at an average entry price of $83,517.20. Its liquidation price was approximately $84,530.50. Based on the snapshot’s Bitcoin mark price of $83,845.50, Bitcoin would need to rise about 0.8% from that mark price to reach liquidation. The position holder had previously built Bitcoin long exposure worth as much as $6.6 million.
