Nasdaq has reportedly encouraged companies listed on its exchange to oppose tokenized trading of their shares through OKXICE, as the number of corporate objections to the proposed blockchain stock market reached 38. Nasdaq representatives reportedly encouraged listed companies to object to tokenized trading through OKXICE. The venture's October 28 notice identifies 38 objecting companies, including Walmart, Eli Lilly, Carnival and Cigna. Nasdaq declined to address the allegations directly, reaffirming support for its own issuer-focused tokenization model. SEC rules give companies 30 days to object to unaffiliated third-party tokenization on a particular venue.
