15 Mining Companies Back Tether’s MDK as AI Agents Move Into Bitcoin Data Centers

The stage in Lugano where Tether shipped version 0.11 of its Mining Development Kit was the same one where the company had first unveiled the framework half a year earlier. What changed between April and this week was not the kit’s ambition but the size of the coalition now standing behind it. On October 24, Tether said fifteen mining companies, ASIC manufacturers, and pools had committed to build and maintain integrations with the open-source kit, turning what began as a single vendor’s tool into a would-be industry standard for how Bitcoin’s physical infrastructure is run.
