The line between traditional finance and crypto companies keeps disappearing. This has been further demonstrated today. An ETF owned and managed by American investment firm Vanguard Group has bought $7.5 million worth of shares in Bitcoin treasury company Metaplanet. According to the statement announced today, Vanguard’s small-cap ETF (VSS) confirmed for the first time that it has purchased 4.5 million shares of Metaplanet, valued at $7.5 million. Today, Vanguard’s VSS small-cap ETF announced its first acquisition of shares in Metaplanet MTPLF, a firm recognized as a Bitcoin treasury company.
